Combustions reactions are the reactions that take place between a fuel and an oxidant. It is important to note that combustion reactions are almost impossible to react towards completion. Incomplete combustion occurs whenever their isn't enough oxygen to allow a complete change into water and carbon dioxide. Pyrolysis, the decomposition of organic stuff in heat, must occur in most common fuels before combustion can happen.
